  1. What is the cost/registration fee of IELTS?
    • UKVI IELTS GENERAL AND ACADEMIC TEST FEE: Rs 39300
    • IELTS ACADEMIC AND GENERAL: Rs 46400
    • A1 spouse visa IELTS A1: Rs 27000
  2. How many times a year are IELTS exams held?
    • The British Council Pakistan offers up to four IELTS test dates per month in 14 cities across the country, including Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Quetta, Multan, Abbottabad, Peshawar, Hyderabad, Gujrat, Bahawalpur, Mirpur, Sargodha, Faisalabad, and Sialkot.
  3. Validity of IELTS exam?
    • An IELTS exam is valid for up to 2 years.
  4. How soon do I get my score?
    • Results for IELTS on paper will be released 13 days after your written test. Results for IELTS on computer will be available 3–5 days after your test.
  5. If I take the exam more than once, which score will be considered by the university?
    • Most universities consider the highest score.
  6. Do I need the score while applying for a certain university?
    • Yes.
  7. Which IELTS test should I take?
    • Before booking your test, make sure to check which test you need with the organizations you are applying to. You can choose between IELTS Academic for higher education or professional registration, and IELTS General Training for study below degree level, work, or immigration.
  8. How long is an IELTS score valid?
    • An IELTS score is valid for 2 years.
  9. What is the minimum age limit for IELTS?
    • IELTS test is not recommended for candidates under 16 years.
  10. How can I check my IELTS result online?
    • You can log in to the Test Taker Portal to preview your results. IELTS Results remain online for 28 days but should not be used as an official confirmation of your performance. If you have taken IELTS on paper, you will be able to preview your results after 13 calendar days from the test date. If you have taken IELTS on a computer, you will be able to preview your results after 3 to 5 calendar days from the test date.
  11. Can I apply for the replacement of the Test Form Report (TRF)?
    • Candidates are entitled to only one copy of the Test Report Form. You can avail another copy of the TRF if you have applied for Canadian Immigration and Citizenship and can provide us with the relevant documents. Please email your request with relevant documents at info@britishcouncil.org.pk.
  12. How can I get my IELTS test remarked? – Enquiry On Result (EOR)?
    • If you did not receive the score you expected, you can apply for your test to be re-marked. This is called an Enquiry on Results (EOR). You can choose which test sections you want to be re-marked and will need to request this at the test centre where you sat the test.   13. Can I transfer my IELTS exam to the next available date?
    • Yes, the exam can be transferred to a later available date. Please click here to refer to our IELTS Test Day Transfer Policy.
  14. I’ve already taken my IELTS. Can I still use my result to apply UK visas and immigration?
    • Your IELTS result is valid for two years starting from the date of your exam. Your valid TRF can be used for Visa applications.
  15. What happened if I am unable to attend the test?
    • In the event a registered candidate fails to appear for their IELTS test, he/she is termed as absent and no refund is applicable to the candidate. If you are unable to appear due to a medical/emergency condition, please inform prior to the test date with evidence for us to consider your application for transfer/refund. Deductions are applicable as per taxes.
  16. How can I send my IELTS score to the universities I am applying to?
    • We can send up to five free additional copies of your TRF directly to receiving organizations (universities, immigration offices, etc.) you are applying to. If you would like us to do this, please include the relevant addresses when you book your test. These free TRF copies will be sent to the receiving organizations (RO) in 7 working days after the result declaration date and you will be notified via an SMS.   17. What can I do to better prepare for the test?
    • Visit IELTS Preparation for more tools, materials, tips, and workshops to better equip yourself for your test.
  18. Do I take all parts of the test on the same day? Which part do I take first?
    • You can request for another copy of your IELTS results up to 5, however please refer to our pricing policy for the free structure. Charges are applicable. However, copies of your original valid IELTS results can be sent to recognizing international agencies/organizations for appropriate purposes. You have to pay a fee certain fee please refer to our pricing policy for the free structure.
